Hidden within Lucca’s ancient walls, Casa Fiordaliso is a peaceful retreat with all the charm of a countryside villa, right in the middle of the city. Once a 17th-century carriage house, this beautifully reimagined home now offers a refined and romantic escape with an enviable location in the heart of the medieval district.

Step through the gates and into your private garden, where quiet pathways wind beneath old-growth trees and curated greenery. Wicker armchairs, soft cushions and flickering lanterns invite you to settle into the shade with a book or a glass of wine. The garden’s sculptural accents and ironwork gazebo create a setting that feels a world away from the buzz of Lucca, yet you're only minutes from the city’s best-loved landmarks.

Inside, the interiors are soft and serene, with exposed beams, flowing linens, and an elegant mix of vintage and modern pieces. The main living and dining area is bathed in natural light, spilling in through tall glass doors that open onto the garden. A crystal chandelier floats above the dining table, while carefully chosen details, gilded mirrors, delicate china, and lush bouquets, add warmth and personality to every corner.

The kitchen, finished in marble and pale cabinetry, is fully equipped and thoughtfully designed for cooking with local ingredients, whether you’re preparing a rustic Tuscan lunch or simply slicing peaches for breakfast outdoors. With two bedrooms across separate areas of the home, the layout offers privacy and comfort for couples or friends travelling together. The master suite upstairs is spacious and light-filled, with four windows overlooking the garden and a king-size bed dressed in fine linens. The second bedroom is set just across the outdoor dining area in what was once the hayloft, offering a sense of seclusion and charm.

Step outside and you’re in the very heart of Lucca, yet inside Casa Fiordaliso, time slows down. Here, the pleasures are simple, good food, green space, and a peaceful night’s sleep beneath the rustle of the trees.
