With its charming interiors, private swimming pool and far-reaching vineyard views, this is a superb base for experiencing this exceptional region so loved for its rich heritage, wine and gastronomy.

Villa Sava exudes authentic character with its brick façade and distinctive shutters. Follow the steps up to the first and second floors and discover warm interiors and generous living spaces for up to 6 guests. The fully-equipped kitchen is ideal for cooking with seasonal produce sourced from local shops and markets, whilst the living room is especially charming with its terracotta flooring, arched ceilings and wood-burning stove. Whether travelling as a family or a small group of friends, Villa Sava offers space to both gather and truly unwind.

Three pretty double bedrooms await, one with a romantic bath in the room, alongside a stylish family bathroom with both a tub and walk-in shower. Downstairs on the ground floor, a fitness room awaits for the most energetic of guests.

Step outside and enjoy the large, open garden with views of rolling fields and vines. Relax beside the swimming pool on the spacious stone terrace, then dine al-fresco accompanied by some of Italy’s most famous wines (Barbera, Grignolino and Freisa, for example). Alternatively, a lovely restaurant serving seasonal Piedmontese dishes and Monferrato wines is only 20m on foot.

Indeed, Villa Sava’s location places guests at the very heart of Monferrato’s wine country. This UNESCO-listed region is known for its gentle hills blanketed with vineyards, medieval villages and its outstanding culinary heritage. From the pretty lanes of nearby Moncalvo, alive with truffle festivities in autumn, to the hiking and biking trails near Calliano or the historic splendour of Sacro Monte di Crea, there is richness to discover in every direction.
