Carved into the hillside above the Gulf of Valinco, Casa Biancu is a masterclass in elemental design and serene living. Here, natural stone and warm wood merge with the contours of the land, offering a soulful retreat where panoramic gulf views stretch from every angle. Sliding glass walls dissolve the boundaries between inside and out, inviting the breeze and light to dance through vast open-plan interiors. The living, dining and kitchen spaces flow seamlessly onto lounge terraces, where every detail encourages stillness, connection and quiet indulgence.

This unique 6-bedroom residence combines spaciousness with intimacy. Three en-suite doubles and a dorm-style bedroom with bunk-beds occupy the main house, while two additional suites lie tucked beneath the pool area, perfect for those seeking an added layer of privacy. Every room offers a soothing palette and calming textures inspired by the wabi sabi aesthetic, allowing the architecture and landscape to speak for themselves.

Outside, a dramatic swimming pool carved directly into the rock provides a unique focal point, flanked by double daybeds and shaded lounging corners. A covered pool house creates a gathering space made for long summer lunches and slow evenings. With a large table for up to 20 guests, a barbecue and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, it’s designed for sharing good food and better company. Above the main house, a roof terrace yoga deck invites sunrise salutations with a view.

Located between Propriano and Porto Pollo, Casa Biancu offers proximity to the best of Corsica’s southwestern coast. A ten-minute stroll downhill leads to a beautiful beach lapped by turquoise water, ideal for snorkelling or a leisurely swim, not far from a summer seafront restaurant. In one direction, Porto Pollo’s laid-back cafés and watersports; in the other, Propriano brings harbour buzz and Corsican gastronomy. Inland, mountain villages and hiking trails promise adventure, while the wider region is rich in heritage, from Campomoro’s Genoese tower to the dramatic cliffs of Bonifacio.

Whether gathering with friends or retreating into nature, this is a place to reconnect and to breathe in the beauty of Corsica.
