Gather on the benches by the barbecue for shady lunches with family and friends or lingering evening meals as the sun sets and the clear night sky appears. The 2.5 acres of grounds are glorious with ample space to play, relax and soak up the tranquil environment.

The house is set in a little hamlet only a 5-minute drive from an old village with a bakery, grocery store, tabac and café-bar. There’s a lovely pizzeria by the banks of the Dronne in Creyssac, just 10km away, and further restaurants in Bourdeilles, home to Château de Bourdeilles so gorgeously located by the river’s edge.

Discover canoeing, kayaking, riverside walks and boat rides in the wonderful town of Brantôme, soak up the atmosphere of the famous Friday morning market in Riberac and visit picture-perfect Dordogne villages such as Nontron, Saint-Jean-de-Côle and Villars. Appreciate the beauty of the Périgord Vert as you walk, hike and cycle through the undulating landscapes of meadows, streams, forests and hills.

This is also a great location for visiting the city of Périgueux, just over half an hour away, with its fine restaurants and markets showcasing Périgord gastronomy alongside the historic old quarter, Roman ruins, several museums and the magnificent Cathédrale Saint-Front de Périgueux
